Bit of a noob to these kind of game (but getting into it)

Right, ive just changed my character from a warrior/ranger TO warrior/necro.

Just started trying to get some necro skills up.

Ok my question is...what bleedin weapons do the necros use? staffs or wands? (which ones are best to go for?)

Also as im a warrior if i have a necro wand/staff (whatever they use) as my primary weapon do i lose any power etc?

My understanding is that any character can arm any weapon and use it. Using it effectively is another matter though. The biggest difference between Staves and Wands is that one is two-handed (Staves) and the other is one-handed (Wands). The Wands allow you to carry an off-hand item for (usually) energy bonus.

If your primary is a Warrior though, I'd for sure recommend either a sword, axe, or hammer so that you can complement your attack using skills that work with the said weapon. As for power loss, wands/staves do typically have lower damage potential then sword/axe/hammer. Again using sword skills with a sword can increase the warriors damage potential quite a bit.

Oh yeah, just about forgot, Staves can be upgraded with components to add bonuses.

But since you are Warrior, you should definitely stick to your primary weapon since you will lose all the skills that goes with it by using Necro's weapon.

As said before, by using a staff or wand, you've totally removed any usage of the warriors skills. You basically are a necro with armor. Axes, swords, and hammers do much more damage then an equivelent staff or wand, especially at the higher level of the equivelent skills (because as you add points to those skills, it raises the damage you do with those weapons as well). Staves never get that.

Weapons are designed to kill. Staves and wands are used as a back up to spells, when youre energy is low, or when its not worth the energy to finish off a mob.

Also, warrior weapons get adds to them that increase damage and other things. Staves get mostly a little damage extra, but mostly energy is what they get.

As a warrior/necro, I'd stick to warrior weapons. If you don't want to use your tactics skill, go hammer.

There no necro bleeding weapons so you need either an axe or a sword.

Yes lose a poop load of power as you have basically rendered your offensive warrior skills useless as any warrior offensive skill needs to hit its opponent. If bleeding (and I personally love it especially when I shocked a few people as I bled several enemies to death, they didn;t realize I could do that) is what you want go with axe or sword (I like swords) either is a viable option and use necro skills to compliment warrior skills not take their place (hexes, life drains etc.).
